Fashion Magazines in Class!
Our newest Portuguese Tutor, Mandy, has an excellent classroom idea that I'm happy to be able to share. In a chapter in which students were studying vocabulary dealing with shopping and fashion, Mandy brought fashion magazines from Brazil to share with her students. The students read articles and discussed them - all in Portuguese - and then designed their own advertisements for the magazine. Here are some examples of the students' work:
